Air Cargo Company Building Sunrise Mixed-Use Project – Connect CRE

by | Mar 4, 2024 | 0 comments

Atlas Air, an air cargo company, is helming a mixed-use project that could include 750,000 square feet of offices, 50,000 square feet of commercial/retail, 750 multifamily units and 300 hotel rooms for corporate housing. The S. Florida Business Journal reports the company plans to use 250,000 square feet of office space as a flight training center and simulator for Atlas Air.

The project is slated to go up near the Sawgrass Mills mall in Sunrise. GL Commercial would build the project on the 32-acre site on the south side of West Sunrise Boulevard, just east of Sawgrass Corporate Parkway.

On its website Atlas Air says, “from shipping precious perishables or heavy construction equipment to arranging large-group passenger charters for celebrities or dignitaries, Atlas Air’s technologically advanced fleet of 747s, 777s, 767s, and 737s offers flexible, creative, and solutions to meet your unique needs—quickly, safely, and reliably.”
