Chick-fil-A Buys First Florida Distribution Center – Connect CRE

by | Feb 29, 2024 | 0 comments

The distribution and supply division of Chick-fil-A paid $50.5 million for a Weston warehouse.

The South Florida Business Journal reports a fund managed by Boston-based Cabot Properties sold the 207,335-square-foot warehouse at 3225 Meridian Parkway to Georgia-based Chick-fil-A. The price equated to $244 per square foot. Cabot Properties says it is a private partnership that acquires, develops, and operates logistics real estate in world-class cities.

The warehouse in the Weston Park of Commerce last traded for $30 million in 2019.

Built on the 15.8-acre site in 1995, the warehouse has 35-foot clear height, 24 dock doors and 150 standard parking spaces.

The supply division of Chick-fil-A operates distribution centers that serve its restaurants. Its website lists seven distribution centers, but none in Florida. The chicken fast-food chain has been rapidly growing with new restaurants throughout the state, especially in South Florida.
